Ron Sharp was only 6 years old when he was baptized in 1954. The reason being his parents were told that it would be 50 years from 1914 and "It could be the jubilee year since god likes to do things in 50 year increments......"

New Armageddon date?
by neat blue dog inlooking at the most recent wt the study article focuses on the jubilees.
the made a separate box in the article to highlight the math behind jubilees, and i'm wondering if they're trying to get people thinking and stir up the pot without actually making a false prophecy.
for instance: jubilees happened every 7 times 7 years.

Yes my friend you have taken the "red pill" but are still in Jehovah's Witness hell.
Your choice is clear pull the plug or live the lie.
There is no right answer.... and both choices has serious consequences.
The good news is you still have most of your life ahead of you. Only you can decide how to live it.

Anybody else see KH sales lagging?
by careful inthere is a large kh in my area, a nice neighbourhood, that has been up for sale for well over a year now.
the old cong that used to go there travels miles to go to their reassigned hall.
i swing by the old one now and then to see if anyone has bought it.

Having been a realtor for over 22 years I can tell you that what is holding up the sell on most these buildings is the zoning. Very few types of businesses will fit into the zoning that most KHs are in.

"come to your wedding?" What will you tell your parents if some grand kids happen. "
"Oh I forgot to take my kids to the meetings"
You are in La La land and dancing with fire.

Money! How much did you "Contribute" To The WTB@TS When You Were A Member
by The Bethelite ini was in full time service for six years including bethel.
once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.
i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

The concept is with many there is that "Jehovah will understand my situation and so let the rich brothers that Jehovah is blessing with abundance make up the difference!"
As they said in the movie Cabaret "money money money makes the world go round"

2024 A View Into The Future
by The Bethelite inafter many tv specials were the watchtower bible & truck society have been exposed as the biggest religious haven for pedophiles on the planet and the loss of hundred of court cases including (the last and biggest one involving the supreme court) the society finally files chapter 11.. the society must turn over all of their files of all known pedophiles.
this turns out to be bigger then anyone could have ever imagined with tens of thousands of their members being named many of whom have been in positions of power.. over 80% of their followers leave the mother ship and contributions slow to a trickle.. most of the society's properties are sold off and people are meeting in private homes and basements.
just like they did when the church was founded a 150 years ago.
